  • Payments will be applied to the current tax year first then to the oldest delinquent year next
  • All payments for quarter, Owner Confidential or payment plans must be made in our office or via mail. *DO NOT PAY ONLINE*
  • Convenience fee up to 3% will apply to online payments. Fee amount will be reflected in total due prior to completion of payment. Tax Assessor - Collector's office does not receive any portion of this fee.
  • Tax Assessor's - Collector's office will post your payment following notification from Tyler. This may take up to 10 business days. Refunds can take up to 60 days to process. 
  • If you are unsure the online payment was processed contact the Tax Assessor-Collector's office on the next business day to verify before re-submitting another payment. Refunds can take up to 60 days to process.
It is the duty of the assessor-collector to assess (calculate) taxes on each property in the county and collect that tax, but the tax assessor-collector does not appraise property. That function is performed by the Appraisal District, which is not a part of county government. On behalf of the Texas Department of motor vehicles, the assessor-collector also is responsible for the registration and licensing of motor vehicles owned by residents of the county and various other duties.
